This automated flute was a quick project created for the Creative Programming and Electronics (DI23, Spring 2020). The assignment prompt was to “build a solenoid drummer that plays a beat for at least 15 seconds”. I had been playing around with 3D printed flutes for the past couple weeks before this, so I wanted to somehow incorporate that. This is what we ended up with.

I want to put more time into this project at some point to clean up the design, transfer to a standard flute, and improve the “lungs” functionality. Keep an eye out…
